## Objective
Develop consistent technique, court awareness, and team communication in blocking, defense, hitting through high-repetition game-like execution.

## Setup & Court Layout
- Players: 6 players in standard rotation on one side (receiving team)

- Blockers: 6 blockers total, with 2 in each blocking zone (right front, middle front, left front) on the opposite side

- Coach: Positioned with volleyballs to initiate play

- Court: Full court

## Step-by-Step Instructions
- Coach tosses a ball to the receiving side, initiating play.

- The receiving side runs a pass-set-hit attack.

- With 6 blockers across the net, most attacks will be blocked back.

- The receiving team must cover the hitter and dig up the blocked ball.

- Continue rally until the ball is dead.

- Encourage the receiving team to earn 3 successful coverage plays in a row before rotating positions.

- Suggested reps: Run for 8–12 minutes or until each player has rotated through all positions at least twice.

## Key Coaching Points
- Emphasize coverage positioning: players must read the hitter and anticipate block rebounds.

- Reinforce hustle and quick reactions to save blocked balls.

- Encourage loud communication during cover situations.

- Hitters should be reminded that coverage is part of the attack plan.

- Common Game Situation: Replicates live matches where hitters frequently face double or triple blocks, requiring teammates to cover and extend rallies.

This is a perfect team coverage drill for teaching the importance of anticipation and teamwork after an attack.

## Variations & Progressions
- Require three consecutive cover plays before rotation.

- Vary block strength: Use fewer blockers for beginners, or 6 blockers for advanced teams.

- Add scoring (e.g., 1 point per successful cover and attack continuation).
