## Objective
Develop consistent technique, court awareness, and team communication in warm-up, ball control, passing through high-repetition game-like execution.

## Setup & Court Layout
-
Players: 1 active passer with a line of waiting passers, 2 tossers

-
Court: Half court, focusing on right-back to mid-court movement

-
Equipment: Volleyballs

-
Roles: Tossers initiate balls, passers move and execute passes before rotating

## Step-by-Step Instructions
-
Start with a passer in the right-back base position.

-
Tosser 1 tosses a ball to the passer.

-
After passing, the passer sprints forward to touch the tosser’s foot, then retreats diagonally back into the next base position.

-
As the passer retreats, Tosser 2 tosses the next ball for the passer to handle.

-
After the second pass, the passer sprints behind Tosser 2, then shuffles laterally across in a ready position.

-
The passer receives another toss from Tosser 1, then backpedals into the waiting line.

-
Rotate the next passer into the drill.

-
Suggested reps: Each passer completes 2–3 full cycles (6–9 passes total), about 1–2 minutes of work per round.

## Key Coaching Points
-
Square to Target: Passers must face the target before contacting the ball.

-
Stay Low: Keep knees bent and weight forward while moving.

-
Footwork: Emphasize shuffling and controlled retreating instead of lunging.

-
Balance: Maintain body control during forward sprints and backpedals.

-
Common Game Situation: Prepares players for serve receive and defensive rallies that require quick movement between positions.

This drill is a great combination of footwork and passing, and it works well as a skill development exercise early in practice.

## Variations & Progressions
-
Reverse Direction: Run the same sequence starting from the left side.

-
Blocking Addition: Add practice blocks when crossing the net before passing.

-
Speed Challenge: Increase the tempo of tosses to demand quicker movement.
