Drill Setup

  1. Set up one side of the court.
  2. Coach is off court with a supply of balls.

Drill Instructions

  1. Coach throws a bad ball to the setter to simulate a bad pass.
  2. Players must talk and call for the ball.
  3. Players must set a high and hittable set.

Drill Variations

  • Add an opponent to defend the hit after the set. Ball starts over with coach.

  • Focus on players getting into position to set quickly, setting a high and hittable ball.
