Read Blocking
A disciplined blocking philosophy where front-row blockers do not guess, but observe the pass, setter release, and hitter approach before jumping to form the block.

A defensive recovery technique where a player digs a low ball, collapses their center of gravity, and executes a shoulder roll or barrel roll to safely return to their feet.

An off-speed attacking technique where the player uses topspin to loop the ball over a formed block into the middle or deep court.

A slang term for a completely stuffed block where the defender deflects the ball straight down onto the attacker's floor.
